General Medical Service
At Highett Street Veterinary Hospital we offer a full range of medical facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of dogs, cats, birds and other small animals. We treat both small and exotic species at the clinic with equal care and attention.
We can set up regular checkups and advise you on preventative medicine and the best ways to care for your pets and ensure they live long and happy lives.
After Hour Emergency Service
We define an emergency as a life threatening condition that cannot wait for the commencement of normal business hours. We ask that you respect this when seeking veterinary attention after hours. Always telephone first. This will enable us to prepare for your arrival.
Micro Chipping
Proves identification and helps get pets returned. It is compulsory for Shire registration.
De-Sexing
Can be undertaken in both dogs and cats from the age of 3 months. Castration helps stop wandering, spraying and aggression. Spaying is best avoided when your pet is on heat, pregnant or has given birth within the last 6 weeks. De-sexing reduces Shire registration fees.
Surgery
Highett Street Veterinary Hospital offers the highest standard of surgical care. We only offer surgical treatment where appropriate and necessary, and can offer referrals to specialist veterinary surgeons.
